Digital Delights Oct.27

It's Thursday!!!  And that means another card using Digital Delights images.  I've been doing so many Halloween and Christmas themes so this week I decided to use this darling image "Fairy".  It's been a while since I did a girly card.  She is colored with promarkers.  I used stickles on the wings and wand.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye 6x6 - Lost & Found Market Street.  The flowers and leaves are from I am Roses.  The pearls are from the dollar store.  I always seem to forget adhesives.  I use a mixture.  I use Tombow dots for layering my papers.  I use pop ups from American Crafts when I want to pop things like I did with the image.  And for my flowers I always use Kool Tak Craft dots.  They are super easy to use and hold well.

Now head on over to the Digital Delights blog for the latest challenge and see all the inspiration from the team.  And don't forget to leave some "love" while you are there.

Di's Digi Designs - Oct.22

There is a brand new challenge blog that started in September called Di's Digi Design Challenges.  The images are digital and I've been on Diane's team for about a year now and I was so excited when she decided to start a challenge blog.  Every two weeks there is a new challenge and the prizes are awesome.  Today is a new challenge and the theme is Halloween.  You still have time to pick up some images for Halloween.

For my card I used the "Bewitched Carly" image.  She is colored with promarkers.  The papers are from We R Memory Keepers 6x6 - Spookville.  I said this before just about every paper line now has 6x6 format.  I felt my card was missing something so I made my own pin.  I used a die to cut out 2 stars and used a pop dot to attach it and the pin.  On one side I used glossy accents.  I got the idea from ScrapMuch? when I was at Scrapfest.  They have a technique posted every Wednesday on their blog.  I took a look and they have lots of cool and easy techniques.  I love how my pin turned out and it allowed me to hang my haunted house charm.

Now head on over to Di's Digi Design Challenges and see what the rest of the team did and see the challenge in more detail.

On Sunday I will be announcing the winner to my blog candy.

Digital Delights Oct.20

I am back!  My trip to Scrapfest was absolutely amazing.  It was non stop cropping, classes & lots of craziness.  My first night was spent cropping in a hotel suite. I believe we were 6 that night.  I managed to complete this week's card there.  The next day we once again cropped in the room because Scrapfest did not open until 5PM.  However we were allowed there at 4PM to set up our stuff.  There was a big loot bag for everyone.  At 5PM the vender's opened and let me tell you it was madness.  150 women at the crop + women waiting in line for the vender's.  I was fortunate to have a make 'n' take with Karen Ellis.  She now has an online store for Art Journaling supplies.  Her store is called The Art House Studio.  She is just a burst of joy.  I did a card which I want to add some finishing touches before I post.  I then managed to finish another card for another team I am on.  Saturday it was another busy day.  I took another class with Karen.  We had a group photo taken and the background was made by Karen Ellis.  When I asked her how long it took her she said she stopped counting after 50 hours.  It was stunning.  I had a class with Vicki Boutin early afternoon it was a mixed media class using 7Gypsies products and DecoArt.  I enjoyed every minute.  I learned a lot that could be translated into art journaling.  I take back more than I expected from that class.  Vicki is such an energetic woman.  She totally rocks.  Would you believe I didn't scrap at all at the crop.  It was only when I returned to the suite with the other ladies that I started another card.  It went so fast.  I loved every second and I would absolutely do it again.  Here is the photo I mentioned.  I was exhausted.  I am the middle one in the back row.

Now onto this week's card for Digital Delights.  The image is "Pumpkin Lara".  She is colored with Promarkers.  The 6x6 papers are from Best Creations - Happy Haunting.  Remember Halloween is around the corner.  Be sure to get your Halloween images before it's too late.

Please don't forget to head on over to the Digital Delights blog to see what the rest of the team did and also check out the latest challenge.

Yippee It's Thursday!

Hi everyone!  I have this scheduled and right now I am on my way to Scrapfest.  It's my first time and I am so excited!  I'll be with great people and I have a class booked with Vicki Boutin!!!  There are so many things to look forward too.  Two full days of crops, make n takes, marketplace, classes and meeting people I've talked with on message boards.  :D

This week's card for Digital Delights I used the image "Shop & Talk Vicky".  I used Promarkers for coloring.  I used the "Born To Shop" sentiment.  Once again I am using a new line of papers.  It's Memory Box 6x6 pad - Brioche.  All I can say is thank goodness for Simon Says Stamp because none of my LSS carries Memory Box.  I made the 3 flowers on the top of the card using dies (the 2 smaller ones are from Die-Namics & the larger one from Spellbinders).  They are a must have ladies!!!!  I will post pictures when I get back.  The flower on the bottom is from I AM Roses.  I used Glossy Accents on the sunglasses.

Now head over to Digital Delights and see what other wonderful creations the team did and also see the latest challenge.  Thanks for stopping by and next post I will tell you all about my trip to Scrapfest as well as announcing the winner to my Blog Candy.

Digital Delights Oct.6

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today is another release from Digital Delights.  Christmas is coming!!!  You will absolutely love the Christmas release.  I used the image "Ornament Pippin" and "Swinging Edwina".  They both are colored using Promarkers.  On ornament pippin I used white flower soft on the hat.  It is by far the best for creating snow or fluff on Christmas hats.  I also used a Staedtler triplus gel-liner (metallic gold) on the ornament.  This is the best metallic pen set I have used.  The flow is continious and does not blotch.  The street light image is from the "Carolers Accessories Colored".  The traditional papers are from Authentique 6x6 paper pad.  It's the first time I used Authentique and I can tell you it won't be my last.  The papers are sturdy for distressing and they are single sided.  :D  No fighting which side to use.

Now head on over to the Digital Delights Blog for this month's release and see what the rest of the team did.  While you are there be sure to see the next challenge.

I will be posting the winner to my Blog Candy Contest in the next few days.  Some people had issues when using inlinkz and left comments so I will figure out a way to include them in the draw.  Be sure to come back over the weekend!  Until then Happy Crafting!
