Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Club Scrap Cherry Blossom Blog Hop and Linky Party. Now first things first if you came from Julie's Blog then you came from the right place. If you didn't you can start at the beginning with Karen from Club Scrap's Blog.

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

This card is using the Cherry Blossoms Digital Kit. All designs are printed on white cardstock then assembled by hand. I cut out the cherry blossoms and branch using the ScanNCut2. I adhered all the pieces then adhered the cherry blossoms using pop-ups.

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

I created my background with the Oxide Inks using the Cherry Blossoms colors. I used a cut-a-part for the center and added some ribbon in the lower right corner before adhering to the card.

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

For this card I used the cut-a-apart's for the border and center. I created some butterflies using a diecut on patterned paper. I added some Wink of Stella to create a shimmer throughout the card.

Elizabeth Craft Designs Inside and Out Coloring Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Today is the Elizabeth Craft Designs Coloring Challenge. The challenge this month is Inside and Out. This was a great challenge for me since I often don't decorate the inside of my cards. For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs is giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on their website to 3 lucky winners. To be entered all you have to do is comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog. Below you will find the steps to replicate this card.

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

Inside of card

  1. Trim Soft Finish Cardstock white to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score in half to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded card.
  2. Diecut front of card with Fitted Circles at the right bottom corner to create a window (see photo for visual).
  3. While your card is folded place the Flower Power Clear Stamp in the position to want to stamp it so that it shows through the window. Once you find your position stamp inside the card with versamark then emboss with black embossing powder.
  4. Trim Soft Finish Cardstock black to 4" x 5 1/4" then a patterned paper 3 3/4" x 5". Adhere together with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape with the patterned paper on top. Place inside card and with a pencil outline the circle. Diecut with Fitted Circles. Set aside.
  5. On Vellum emboss in clear Flower Power Clear Stamp. Be careful to not over heat the Vellum. Color using any alcohol markers. Diecut with a larger circle. Trim Soft Finish Cardstock white to 4" x 5 1/4" and once again trace the outline of the circle window. Diecut with Fitted Circles. Adhere the vellum inside the card on top of the window but be sure to align so that the clear vellum will overlap the stamped embossed black. Now adhere the white cardstock inside the card to hide the excess vellum. (see photo below for visual).
  6. Adhere the patterned paper to the front of the card making sure to align the circle.
  7. Diecut Soft Finish Cardstock white with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on top with the circle size you have been using with the next size larger. Use masking tape to position and hold the two Fitted Circles dies together. You now have a border circle.
  8. Remove the backing from the Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape and pour Silk Microfine Glitter Bright Cranberry. Remove the extra. With your finger tip in a gentle circular motion work the glitter so that it absorbs on the Clear Double Sided Tape and the glitter shines. Adhere over the window creating a glitter circle border.
  9. Stamp a sentiment with Bee Sentiments Clear Stamp. Diecut on the right the larger Fitted Circles die you used to create your circle border so that your sentiment will follow the circle. (see photo for visual).
  10. Diecut sentiment with Stitched Fishtail Banners so that the banner end is on the left side. Adhere to card aligning with the circle.
  11. Diecut Soft Finish Cardstock white with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on top with Leafy Branch 4. Remove the backing from the Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape and pour Silk Microfine Glitter Spring Peridot. Remove excess and in a circular motion with your finger tip rub the glitter to create a shine. Adhere to card.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to make a window card which shows color on the front and when you open it the flower is black outline. Thanks for stopping by. Make sure you leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog for a chance to win a $20 Gift Card.

Club Scrap Cherry Blossom Kit with Mojo Monday Sketch 491 Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing a card I made with the fabulous Mojo Monday 491 Challenge and using the stunning new Cherry Blossom Kit from Club Scrap.

Mojo Monday Sketch 491

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded.
Below are the steps to replicate this card.

I used plain cardstock for the base of my card. I used Oxide Inks to create a background matching the Cherry Blossom Color Pallet. It is trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4". I adhered a strip of wide ribbon from the kit to the back of my background and left the front unglued then adhered the background to center front of card. I trimmed a patterned paper to 3" x  4 1/4" and matted it with plain cardstock and adhered it slightly offset. (See photo for visual). I trimmed a cut-a-part 2" x 3 1/4" and matted it with plain cardstock and adhered it slightly offset in the opposite direction. (See photo for visual). I trimmed the ribbon to create a banner then used double sided tape to secure the ribbon on the front. I diecut a stitched circle from the patterned paper and used pop-ups to adhere to card. I diecut the sentiment on fun foam and then a second time on plain cardstock. Both have double sided adhesive on the back prior to diecutting. First I secured the sentiment with the fun foam then I offset the plain diecut to create a shadow effect. For the finihsing touch I added some Blossom Stickers.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Club Scrap Cherry Blossom Blog Hop and Linky Party which is on April 26.

Club Scrap with Delft Kit

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing a fun card using the Club Scrap Delft Kit. It's a stunning kit filled with a variety of blues with a splash of yellow. Below is a card I made using the kit.

Finished card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 folded.

I used the 12"x12" patterned paper for the base of my card. It is cut at 8 1/2"x5 1/2" then folded in half. I used the light blue plain paper trimmed at 3 3/4"x5". Using the cracked stamp I stamped with a medium blue color. Then stamped the flower with a darker blue as well as the sentiment. I then colored in the flower petals and went over with a shimmer pen. I matted it with the navy plain paper trimmed at 4"x5 1/4" and adhered to the center front of the card. I added a cut-a-part strip to the top and bottom. For a finishing touch I added some crystal nuvo drops. All product is from the kit with the exception of ink and drops.

Thank you for stopping. Be sure to come back soon to see Club Scrap's Cherry Blossom kit.
