Club Scrap March 2016 Artist Team Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge. If you came from Lisa's Blog then you came to the right place.

This months kit "Paris Flea Market" comes with a Paper Lace Mats. I'll be showing you new and fun ways to use this on your projects.

For my first card I used the printed black cardstock and cut it 6x12. I cut two corners from the Paper Lace Mat. Folded my card is 6x6 so this was perfect to place 1 corner on top and the 2nd corner on the bottom with both points meeting in the middle. I cut out a square and used the tips of the corners from the Paper Lace Mat and adhered to corners. I used the printed 8.5x11 white cardstock and made a handmade flower. The sentiment is attached to the black tag.

My second card I decided to use the whole Paper Lace Mat as the background for my card. In the center I cut out a 6x6 square from the 8.5x11 printed white cardstock. Adhered it to the center placing the mat as a diamond shape. I folded each corner to the center so that the lace becomes the envelope. Think of it as an all in one card. I closed the card with a ribbon.

My next card I used 3 corners from the Paper Lace Mat to create a butterfly. I used the printed cardstock 8.5x11. The ribbon & button is from the Deluxe Kit. I used a die to create the black butterflies.

For my final project all product is from the Paris Flea Market except for the wire for the butterfly antennas and the flower stamen pearls.  I used the Stampin Up die (Sizzix) Embosslits Beautiful Wings for the butterflies. The flowers are handmade but I used the white cardstock and colored them with distress inks and water.  I used black Dylusions Ink Spray to recolor some of the Paper Lace Mat. I wanted to create a curtain effect.
