Floral Card With Black Background For Striking Effect Using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing a card using the Spectrum Noir Colouring System Alcohol Markers. It’s all about colour. I wanted to show you a traditional stamped coloured image on White Cardstock and what happens when you colour the negative space black. As you will see below it makes the image and colours pop! The colours I used are shown in the photo towards the end of this post. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 - Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 - Trim White Cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Stamp Daisy Bouquet using Gina K Amalgam Ink which allows alcohol ink colouring. Colour the image. I used Spectrum Noir Colouring System. The colours are shown in the photo towards the end of the post.

Step 3 - Using your black alcohol marker colour at the edges of the image and then completely fill in the negative space. It is a slightly long process but well worth the effort. Let it dry completely and then adhere to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 - Stamp Daisy Bouquet sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink on White Cardstock. Trim the edges and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 - Optional - Randomly adhere Jewels using Collage Medium.
