Club Scrap Office Space July Artist Team Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the July Artist Team Challenge Blog Hop.  First things first if you came from the talented Lisa then you came from the right place, if you didn't you can start at the beginning with Karen-Club Scrap blog.

The Artist Challenge this month is Artist Trading Cards / Pocket Letters.  This is a great way to use up the scraps left over from your projects. ATC's are 2 1/2"x3 1/2". It's the size of a playing card.  The idea of Pocket Letter is filling 9 ATC's into a Pocket Trading Card Protector which folds nicely into a letter size envelope.  For a chance to win my Pocket Letter below be sure to follow my blog.  Those who become followers will be entered and a winner will be chosen at random. Below are 6 ATC's using the July kit Office Space from Club Scrap. The last 3 will be revealed when I announce the winner.

Below are close ups of each ATC with a brief description on how it was assembled.

This ATC I used the cut-a-part folders in the kit as a template to create a manila folder. The paper clip is keeping the folder closed.

This ATC is using a cut-a-part and floss. 

I used several dies to create this floral one. 

This one is using the wood sentiment and a cut-a-part along with some dies. I added some gems from my own stash. 

This one is using the sentiment from the cut-a-part and with a thin marker I outlined each word. The coffee mug is cut out and with thin strips of paper I created the steam. I added a flower from my stash.

This one I really thought outside the box. I used a die for the pattern then diecut different colored paper and randomly added the die cut shape to create a unique background.

Club Scrap July Kit Office Space Blog Hop

Welcome to the Club Scrap Blog Hop for Office Space.  First things first is you came from the lovely talented Anne Marie then you came from the right place.  If you didn't you can start at the beginning with Karen-Club Scrap Blog.

Today's project is something I rarely ever do.  A mini album book. Below you will see step by step pictures to recreate your own 6"x6" mini album.

Cut a plain cardstock 6"x12".  As picture below score at every 1" until the end.

Cut a plain cardstock 2 1/2"x6".  Score at 1", then 1/2", then 1".  This is the binding for the outside of the book.

Cut 7 patterned papers 6"x6".  Glue each page into one side of the fold as photo below.

Glue your outside binding strip to secure the book.  



With the book now assembled you can add more papers and embellishments to prepare for your photos. Here is an example of a page I prepared.  The pink patterned paper has memo cards throughout the page. I cut them out to use as a journaling.  

For the finishing touches I passed through 2 ribbons from the inside binding and tied it together on the outside of the binding.  For the title I printed the letters from the Digital kit, cut them out & glued to the front.

Club Scrap July Techique Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Today I am posting a card I made for the July Techique Challenge at Club Scrap.  The technique challenge is to ink and stamp through a stencil. I don't have many open spaced stencils so I decided to make one.

For my first attempt I die cut the solid butterfly 4 times randomly to create a stencil. Inked with distress inks in 2 colors. Once dry I stamped with a sentiment from the Dahlia kit and India black ink. Used the plain and patterned paper from the Office Space. Here is the card. 

I was happy with the results but felt I could do better. This time I die cut the butterflies around in a circle. Made some handmade flowers using Elizabeth Craft Designs - Cherry Blossoms die. With the die from ECD I placed in the center. Orange for the outline and yellow for the center. Added a few gems. Again these are all papers from the Office Space Kit.

Lily Tag for Susan's Garden Club at Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi Everyone! Today is my post for Susan’s Garden Club over at Elizabeth Craft Designs.  You can visit here to see it on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog.

My DH works with flowers, before I met him I honestly didn’t know much about flowers except roses and tulips.  This tag is inspired by him for the beauty he showed me and bestows on me week after week.  Lilies have become one of my top 5 flowers.

Tag measures 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″

• Die cut patterned paper with Tags & More 5 – Sunburst, cut to length 4 1/4″.

• Die cut patterned paper with Stitched Ovals 1113, adhere with pop ups to base of tag.

• Die cut colored cardstock with Garden Notes – Lily 995.  (For the stem base use clear double sided adhesive, this will make it easier to attach to the tag). Here is a wonderful tutorial by Susan’s Garden to help you with the assembly the Lily.  Shape with Susan’s Garden Tools.  Once assembled and dry, adhere to Stitched Oval.

• Stamp or print sentiment of your choice and adhere to tag.

• Tie a piece of white mesh around the tag toward the bottom.

• Tie a ribbon through the hole at the top of the tag.

I hope you enjoyed this simple but elegant tag. It can be attached to a gift, a card, or simply use it as is. It is quite versatile.

Club Scrap July Kit Office Space

Hi Everyone,

Today I am showing you a card made with the Club Scrap July Kit Office Space.  Office Space is ideal to make projects for your fellow co-workers.  Here are the steps to recreate this card.

The card is 6" x 6" folded (cut 6" x 12") using the plain cardstock 12" x 12".  I cut another plain cardstock 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and adhered to base of front.  With the patterned paper I cut out the squares and adhered to the top and bottom of the card.  With the same color as the card base I diecut 3 flowers from Elizabeth Crafts Design - Bunch of Flowers 2 dies.  I shaped the flowers and adhered to bottom of card within the pattern.  I added Prills to the center of the flowers which adds a nice element to the flower.

So Suzy Stamps Stamp of the Month Club

Hi Everyone,

Today I am posting another wonderful stamp from So Suzy Stamps Stamp of the Month Club. It is the February stamp. 

This time I decided to do something different. I stamped directly onto my patterned paper. I just love the results.

The rest of the card is basically patterned paper layered and some are distressed with Tim Holtz distresser. The stunning paper is from Prima 6x6 paper pad - French Riviera. I inked edges with distress ink.

Club Scrap July Kit Office Space And Can You Case It #128

Hi Everyone,

Today I decided to take a vacation day and you guessed it....I decided to use it wisely and craft.  I received the gorgeous Office Space Deluxe Kit from Club Scrap and it is packed with Office themed items which is fabulous for making cards to fellow co-workers.  Today's card is combined with Office Space and Can You Case It #128 Weekly Challenge Blog.  

Finished card folded is 4.25x5.5.  I used the 8.5x11 patterned paper for the base of my card.  I cut plain cardstock 4x5.25 and adhered to base of card.  I cut the boarder strip from the cut-a-part sheet and used the ribbon to overlap the boarder.  I stamped the sentiment with India Black Ink which is also from Club Scrap. I diecut a flower with the same patterned paper as the base of my card and adhered to the strip. Last I added prills from Elizabeth Craft Designs to the center of my card.

So Suzy Stamps Stamp of the Month Club July Release

Hi Everyone,

It's July Release at So Suzy Stamps Stamp of the Month Club. The July Stamp is so versatile in the way you use it. It can represent a journey, new home, find your way to name a few. Here is a card I made using it.

To recreate this card I first stamped on a cardstock with black ink. Once dry I used a circle die. See picture below. 

Next I used the same cardstock to die cut a gear. See picture below. 

I used alcohol copper ink to give the gear and stamped image a rustic look. Once dry I passed yarn through the inner part of the gear.  See picture below. Add to all the rims. 

Adhere the cut out stamp and gear to the patterned paper with the yarn ends out, then tape to the other side. Layer more patterned paper to card and add a sentiment. The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny 6x6 - Timepiece Collection.

Club Scrap Boardwalk June Kit

Hi Everyone,

Happy Canada Day!!!  I want to wish all my fellow Canadians a safe and festive day! 

Today I want to share with you a some cards I created using the Boardwalk Deluxe Kit from Club Scrap. 

This card which is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded is all included in the kit. I used the cutapart as the main focus for my card and adhered to the plain cardstock. I threaded 2 strands of the multi colored yarn through the button. 

My second card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded. I used a stamp from the Dahlia kit to create a water effect onto the front of the plain cardstock. I used a cutapart from the Boardwalk kit and cut 3 strips from the plain cardstock.
