Club Scrap March Artist Team Challenge With Succulents Kit

Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to another Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge. This month's challenge is to use a set of coordinating stencils. Lower case, Upper case and Numerials. Starting today the alpha stencils are 50% so be sure to grab them. Before we get started if you came from Lisa's Blog then you came from the right place. If you didn't you can start with Karen at Club Scrap's Blog. All product used is from the Succulents Kit unless otherwise stated.

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

For this card I used the stencil with my scanncut. It will work with fussy cutting but if you have a cutting machine this can be fun. I outlined the number 5 and 0 in a black marker. I placed it in my scanncut and cut it out without borders. It turned out better than I had hoped. The base of the card is in plain cardstock. I stamped in India Ink black the big flower and also used the scanncut to cut it out this time with a 0.04" border. I cut out the patterned paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered the flower to the center then adhered the patterned paper to the front base of card. I used pop ups to adhere the 50 and then used diamond stickles to add a little sparkle. Next I stamped and scanncut my sentiment and placed it on the 0.

The base of the card is plain cardstock cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" then folded in half. I cut a dark color cardstock 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and adhered to bottom of card leaving the top in lighter cardstock. I cut the patterned paper 3" x 4 1/2" and directly on the patterned paper I used Texture Paste with the Upper Case stencil B. Once it was dry I adhered to the card. I created the word mine and cut it with the scannut. I adhered it slightly on top of the B and added some stickles for some sparkle.

For this card I went mixed media crazy and out of my comfort zone. I knew I wanted to use the canvas tag on my card. I started my using a background stencil with texture paste. As it was drying I sprayed some inks. Then I added a mist of perfect pearls white with water. Once dry I used acrylic black paint and used the numeral 1 to use as a shadow. When that dried I used the numeral 1 with texture paint and colored it with inks. The base of the card is in plain cardstock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" then folded in half. I cut a patterned paper 4" x 5 1/4". I used a cut-a-part and placed it in the upper left corner. Then I added the tag. With the fiber yarn I wrapped it 3 times and tied in front with a knot then adhered to the card. For a finishing touch I heat embossed in silver the sentiment love and used the scannut to cut it and adhered to card. An unconventional Valentine's or Anniversary card but I just love how it turned out.

That concludes my projects. Be sure to head on over to Anne Marie's Blog to continue seeing awesome projects using the alpha stencils.

Club Scrap Succulents Blog Hop and Linky Party

Hi Everyone,
Can you believe we are nearly finished February? It's time again for another Club Scrap Linky Party with the Succulents Kit. Below you will see projects using both the paper kit and the digital kit. It's going to be a little long because I went a little crazy. I just love this kit and couldn't stop. Now first things first, if you came from Anne Marie's blog then you came from the right place. If you didn't you can start at the beginning with Karen at Club Scrap's blog.

Deluxe Kit - Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

All product used is from the Succulent Deluxe kit except the dies, embossing powder and distress inks. The base of card is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in plain cardstock then folded in half. With a patterned paper I diecut it with Stitched Rectangles. Before adhering to the card I tied a ribbon at the bottom and tied a knot. I heat embossed the stamp with gold embossing powder. With distress inks I inked around the embossing then diecut it with a Dotted Scallop Oval. It is matted with another diecut in plain paper. I adhered both to the center of the card. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold. I diecut the sentiment with Stitched Fishtail Banners and adhered on top of the ribbon. All dies are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

All product used is from the Succulent Deluxe kit except the embossing powder and distress inks. The base of card is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in plain cardstock then folded in half. I heated embossed the flower and leaves in clear on white cardstock. With Distress inks I inked first festive berries around the flower and then peeled paint around the leaves leaving a section in white at the top. I stamped the sentiment with India Ink. I matted it with plain paper and adhered to front of card.

Deluxe Kit - Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

All product used is from the Succulent Deluxe kit except the embossing powder, distress ink, ribbon and crystal drops. The base of card is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in plain cardstock then folded in half. I cut the patterned paper 3 3/4" x 5" and matted it with plain cardstock and adhered to the card. I heat embossed in clear the pot, plant and leaves and ink distressed in peeled paint on white cardstock. I matted it on plain cardstock before I adhered to the card I added some ribbon and made a fancy double bow. Tutorial to come soon to do this super easy double bow using your hand. I added a sentiment and used the stitched fishtail banner dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. For a finishing touch I added some Crystal Nuvo Drops.

Digital Kit - Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

All designs were printed on plain white cardstock and assembled. The ribbon is from previous Club Scrap kits. The die used for the solid white cardstock is Stitched Rectangles from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I used my scanncut to cut out the love sentiment.

Digital Kit for Happy Planner

The digital kit is perfect for those of you who use the Happy Planner or other planner and love to decorate the pages. I print the design backgrounds directly on a full page sticker sheet and trim down the squares as needed. I couldn't just stop there. I made a cute matching bookmark that will follow my journey.

Now head on over to Lisa's blog to continue the hop. Thank you for stopping by.

Club Scrap Succulents Kit With Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #483

Hi Everyone,

Today I am showing you a card I made with the stunning Succulents Kit from Club Scrap using the Sketch#483 from Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Blog. I love using sketches because I find it pushes out of our comfort zone.

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday #483

Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded

For my card I chose to matte nearly every layer I put down. I find it helps to separate the colors when multi layering. I used the 12"x12" patterned paper and matted it with the 12"x12" plain paper. I used the ribbon & sentiment from the kit.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to come back on February 22 for the Club Scrap Succulents Blog Hop and Linky Party.

Club Scrap Succulents Kit

Hi Everyone,

First things first congrats to Lisa H!!!! You have won the Aquarelle Markers. Please email me at samtina1111@gmail.com so you can give me your address.

Today I want to show you how much fun the Succulents Digital Kit is from Club Scrap. If you are like me I can't wait for the paper kit to arrive so the Digital Kit keeps me occupied until it arrives. I am hands on but the digital kit can be used two ways. You can create directly on the computer using a design software or print all the designs out on cardstock paper and create as if it is a paper kit. The great bonus is that this allows you to resize. You can print as is or reduce/enlarge as you want.

Below are 3 cards I made printing out the designs on cardstock and assembling together. I used my scanncut to scan and cut all the sentiments. It is so much fun.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to mark your Calendar for the Succulents Blog Hop Linky Party on Feb.22.
