New Release by Joset Designs From Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to announce that Elizabeth Craft Designs has a new release from Joset Designs. More Character Dies!!! And they are sooooooooooooooo adorable. It's Safari themed. There is a Monkey, Giraffe, Lion and Tiger, Zebra, Trees, Jungle Leaves, Jeep and some other Accessories. You will absolutely want them all. My card is using the Monkey and Giraffe with a scene created by the Adventures Edges 2. Below you will find the steps to replicate this card.

Step 1 - Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 - Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Diecut Adventures Edges (the scalloped one) on scrap piece of cardstock to use as a stencil. Using ink of your choice (I used Distress Oxide) apply using an ink applicator to create the clouds. On the bottom of the cardstock ink in brown or green to create the ground.

Step 3 - Diecut Adventures Edges with colored cardstock or ink yourself in green the bush die. Adhere to the background created from Step 2 using Kid's Choice Glue.

Step 3 - Diecut Adventure Edges with colored cardstock or ink yourself in brown the fence. Adhere to the background created from Step 2 using Foam Tape for added dimension.

Step 4 - Diecut Jungle Leaves with colored cardstock or ink yourself in green. Adhere to card using Kid's Choice Glue. Leave a section without glue so you can have the monkey's tail hanging off.

Step 5 - Diecut Monkey, Giraffe and bananas with colored cardstock or ink yourself. Assemble and adhere to background using Foam Tape.

Step 6 - Stamp Safari Saying sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the Upper Right corner.

Step 7 - Adhere the entire panel to the front of the card using Kid's Choice Glue.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. I will have many examples coming soon so be sure to come back but for now here are some sneak peaks of some of them.

Case This Sketch Challenge 303

Hi Everyone,
Today I have the pleasure to be a Guest Designer at Case This Sketch Challenge Blog. I stumbled on this Challenge Blog several years ago and I love how it pushes me outside of my comfort zone as I am not normally a Clean and Simple cardmaker. Below is Sketch #303 I was asked to work with.

Here is my take on the sketch. Finished card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded (A2)

Step 1 - Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 - Diecut Double Stitched Rectangles using White Cardstock. Add painters tape to form a small rectangle. Apply Distress Oxide Inks using an ink applicator starting with Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Seedless Preserves. Remove the painters tape.

Step 3 - Stamp sentiment using Versamark Ink to the inside of the inked rectangle created in Step 2. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder, remove the excess and heat se it with a heat tool. Adhere the panel to the card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive Glue.

Step 4 - Diecut Double Stitched Circles using White Cardstock. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive Glue.

Step 5 - On a scrap piece of White Cardstock apply Distress Oxide Ink in the same colors used from Step 2. Diecut Small Butterfly (White cardstock to the pattern die and the inked cardstock to the solid die & the die with the antenna) Assemble the pieces and adhere to the circle using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive Glue.

Step 6 - For added interest and sparkle apply Crystal Nuvo Drops Morning Dew.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. This card can be used for any occasion by changing the image, colors and sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
