Honeybee Stamps Cosmos With Spectrum Noir Markers

Hi Everyone,
Today I have a floral card to share with you using the HoneyBee Cosmos Stamps and they are coloured with Tri-Blends from Spectrum Noir. I created my own backgrounds using Distress Oxide Inks in the same colours as my flowers. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 - Trim White Cardstock (110lbs) to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 - Trim White Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Apply Distress Oxide Ink Spiced Marmalade and Seedless Preserves onto a craft mat. Spray with water and dip the cardstock. Heat set it with a heat tool. Repeat until you reach the desired effect. Let dry.

Step 3 - Diecut Double Stitched Rectangle using the background created from Step 2. Adhere to a trimmed piece of Fun Foam and then adhere to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 - Stamp Cosmos onto White Cardstock using Gina K Amalgam Ink. Colour in the images using Tri-Blend 3 in 1 Markers from Spectrum Noir. I used Orange Blend, Purple Blend and Citrus Green Blend. Diecut with matching images or fussy cut. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and pop the Purple flower with Foam Squares.

Step 5 - Diecut Happy Birthday (only Happy) using Black Cardstock and Fun Foam. Adhere the black diecut on top of the fun foam diecut. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 6 - Stamp Tiny Words Sentiment using Versafine Onyx Ink on White Cardstock. Trim and adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 7 - (Optional) For added interest and shine randomly add Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

This card can be used for any occasion by changing the colors and sentiment. The Tri-Blends can be purchased at Crafter's Companion. They sell them individually or the complete set. Forever Grateful Card With Spectrum Noir Tri-Blends And Harmony Inks

Hi Everyone,
I have a fun technique to use with your background stamps using Harmony Reactive Inks from Spectrum Noir. The fun part about this technique is you can use heavy weight cardstock as well as watercolour paper. The flowers are coloured using the new Tri-Blends by Spectrum Noir. I only used 3 markers to colour in my flowers and leaves. Each marker has 3 colours so it's like having 9 colours. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 - Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 - Trim White Cardstock (or Watercolour Paper) to  5 1/2" x 4 1/2". Place in your stamp positioner tool. Stamp Rose Leaves Background with Harmony Reactive Inks (Grasshopper and Spring Meadow), spray with water and stamp. This will create a watercolour effect. Let dry.

Step 3 - Diecut Double Stitched Rectangles and Double Stitched Circles to the background create from Step 2. This will create window in your panel. Adhere the panel to Black Cardstock trimmed to 4 7/8" x 3 5/8" using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Adhere the entire panel to the front of the card using Foam Tape.

Step 4 - Stamp Spring Blossoms to White Cardstock using Gina K Amalgam Ink. This is an alcohol friendly ink. Colour the flowers and leaves using Tri-Blends. (I used Citrus Green Blend for the leaves, Dark Red Blend and Orange Blend for the flowers.) Diecut with matching dies. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Use a White Gelly Roll pen to the center of the flowers.

Step 5 - Diecut Basic Greetings using Black Cardstock. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 6 - Stamp Tiny Words sentiment using Versamark on Black Cardstock. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a heat tool until it's melted and smooth. Trim the sentiment and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 7 - Optional - For added interest add Nuvo Jewel Drops (Key Lime) randomly. Let dry.

This card can be used for many occasions by changing the colors and sentiment. You can order the Spectrum Noir Tri-Blends and Harmony Reactive Inks at Crafter's Companion. There is free shipping over $75. Or you order from Simon Says Stamp. To receive $5 off your order use code: FWR528 at checkout. Below is a link to all the products used. Floral Card With Black Background For Striking Effect Using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing a card using the Spectrum Noir Colouring System Alcohol Markers. It’s all about colour. I wanted to show you a traditional stamped coloured image on White Cardstock and what happens when you colour the negative space black. As you will see below it makes the image and colours pop! The colours I used are shown in the photo towards the end of this post. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 - Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 - Trim White Cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Stamp Daisy Bouquet using Gina K Amalgam Ink which allows alcohol ink colouring. Colour the image. I used Spectrum Noir Colouring System. The colours are shown in the photo towards the end of the post.

Step 3 - Using your black alcohol marker colour at the edges of the image and then completely fill in the negative space. It is a slightly long process but well worth the effort. Let it dry completely and then adhere to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 4 - Stamp Daisy Bouquet sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink on White Cardstock. Trim the edges and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 - Optional - Randomly adhere Jewels using Collage Medium.
