Have You Ever

Had a page or project completed that had you jumping up and down screaming "Yes Yes Yes!" LOL I had my first one.  This is my 2nd mini book but first time using the Bind-It-All.  First of all I am in love with the Bind-It-All.  Like seriously Folks....what's not to like.  To be able to create your own book, calender, projects at your fingertips is so awesome.

Ok LOL enough of that.  I just love how this mini book came out.  On the sides there is ribbon attached to tags I made.  They pull out and it's used for journaling.  See the last photo because I pulled one out a little.  TFL!!!

Belles & Whistles Stamp

I just love this new stamp from Belles & Whistles.  It's titled "Sisters" and it has cuteness written all over it.  I just couldn't wait to use it with my SEI papers.  I always love blue and green together so I was instantly drawn to them.  I colored them using the Watercolor Wonders from Stampin' Up.  I just love how easy they are to work with.  If you want to get your hands on it here is a link to a SU Demonstrator.  She also has the new catalogue and there are some exciting new colors and lots of new goodies.

Here is the card I completed. TFL! :D

Perfect Pearl and Distress Inks

Here is a cool technique I just saw and I had to try it out.  You will need the following.

Embossing powder clear or white
versamark stamp pad
mini mister with 1/8 teaspoon of perfect pearl and water (I used color blush)
distress ink (I used victorian velvet)
stamp of your choice (I used 3 flowers from Hero Arts)
ribbon
adhesive
scissors
distresser
mini dots
8 1/2 x 5 1/2 cardstock
5 1/4 x 4 patterned paper (I inked around the edges with colorbox color chianti)
4 1/4 x 3 5/8 watercolor paper
border punch

First you will need to border punch your 4 1/4 x 3 5/8 watercolor paper on the right side.

Now you will emboss using stamp of your choice.

Now take your distressed ink and ink it up well leaving no white spots except for your embossed image which will stay white.  Before it dries quickly apply the perfect pearls mixture and spray all over the watercolor paper.  Using your heat tool heat everything until it is dry.  This is what it should look like.

Now take your ribbon and place along the left side.  Bow is optional.

Take your patterned paper and cut 5 1/4 x 4 and ink the edges.

Now cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 cardstock and fold in half.  Be sure to use your bone folder for a nice crease.

Now you are ready to paste everything down.  First put your patterned paper then your watercolor paper.  Now it's time to add a sentiment.  You can use staz-on directly on the watercolor but I found that because of the perfect pearls it's not always a great job.  So I stamped on a piece of cardstock.  I distressed the edges and used adhesive.  This is the completed card.

And because I had so much fun I did another one.

Thank you for stopping by and seeing my first tutorial!

PageMaps

A dear friend of mine introduced me to PageMaps.  Ok so most of you must know about PageMaps.  It's sketches that come out on a monthly basis.  It's for 12x12 and 8 1/2x11 pages and now they have for cards.  There are also sketches for tags and other items.  Sometimes even I need some inspiration.  Here is a page using PageMaps for the first time
