Club Scrap October Artist Team Challenge with Literature Kit

Hi Everyone,

Are you ready for an awesome Artist Team Challenge Blog Hop with Club Scrap Literature Kit!  With the Holidays coming up the theme is Gift Giving. First things first if you came from Lisa's Blog you came from the right place.  If you didn't you can start at the beginning with Karen at Club Scrap's Blog.  I decided to create a project that will hold cards to give as a gift.  My gift folder holds minimum 4 cards layered with embellishments including envelopes.  Below you will see the steps to recreating the gift folder as well as the cards I made.  I apologize in advance it will be a slightly long post.

The cover is plain cardstock.

Turn over cover and set aside.
Cut 2 solid paper 5 1/4 x 6 (front & side of cover), 1 solid paper 3/4 x 5 3/4 (spine of cover).
Cut 2 patterned paper 5 x 5 3/4 (front & side of cover), 1 patterned paper 1/2 x 5 1/2 (spine of cover). Matte solid pieces with pattern pieces on top. Only adhere the spine to the cover. Add some adhesive to the center of spine and center of front & back of cover. Add the ribbon. Adhere paper to front and back covering the ribbon.  See picture below for visual.

The folder pouches are cut on patterned paper. You need to cut and score 2 pieces as below.

The next step is to cut where I indicated the lines in red.

It should look like this after cutting.

Now turn over and place double sided adhesive as picture below.

Peel off the protective strips and starting with the small square bring it inwards following the sides. Take the bottom and fold on top. When assembled it should look like photo below. Adhere to inside of cover at the bottom.

Here is the folder with the cards inside.

Here are the 4 cards I made for the Gift Folder. They were made with the Literature Kit.  I printed the pattern on solid white cardstock. They are all 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 folded.

A Shaker card.  I will have instructions on an upcoming post how to make one.

I hope you enjoyed this easy Gift Card Holder which makes a wonderful gift.  Thanks for stopping by.  Your next stop is Anne Marie's Blog.
