Welcome back to another Club Scrap Blog Hop and Linky Party. This months kit is Adirondacks. First things first if you came from Lisa's Blog then you came from the right place. If you didn't you can start with Karen at Club Scrap's Blog. Here are the cards I created.
Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded
This card is all about the stamps. I colored plain cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks and once it was dry I used the Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to stamp using the Adirondacks stamps. See below for the background I created. I trimmed it 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to front of card. The base of card and sentiment banner is using plain cardstock from the kit. The sentiment is also from the kit.

For this card I used a patterned paper for the base of card. I decided to make a shaker card and used the duck on the patterned paper to be the focus of the card. To create the shaker card I used fun foam with double sided tape on both sides. Make sure you use a metal sheet when diecutting as this makes it easier to cut. I covered the top circle border with the same paper used for the base of card. My background was created using a bone folder to create lines and running distress inks directly from the pad. I used walnut stain, vintage photo and iced spruce. This creates a wood panel background. I topped it of with a paper bow.

I created another another shaker card but this time using Tuile. It works well as is less thick than the standard shaker cards. The word journey is from the cut-a-part which is in the inside of the card. I diecut the butterfly with plain paper from the kit. I cut two strips of ribbon to adhere on the left and right edges between the two papers.
I hope you enjoyed the manly cards I created which are perfect for father's day which is just around the corners. Now head on over to Julie's Blog to see what she has in store for you.
