Welcome back to another Artist Team Challenge. This month the Artist Team's Challenge is to combine at least two different Club Scrap Collections.
Now first things first if you came from Roni's Blog then you came from the right place. If you didn't you can start with Karen at Club Scrap's Blog.
Finished card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded
For this card I combined Adirondacks Kit with Celebrate Kit and Succulents Kit. I inked a plain white cardstock with Oxide Inks and placed the Celebrate Stencil on top and sprayed with water. I added a little too much water but love how the pattern emerged regardless.
I inked the edges with Oxide Inks. I used a cut-a-part from the Adirondacks Kit and adhered to the center front of my background. I used the wax thread and wrapped it around 3 times and secured with the Succulents Button. I adhered the entire panel to a patterned paper from the Adirondacks Kit.

For this card I combined the Adirondacks Kit with Celebrate Kit and Cherry Blossoms Kit. I used the plain cardstock from Adirondacks for the base of my card. I cut the patterned paper from Adirondacks to 3 3/4" x 5", using Acrylic Metallic silver paint I painted brush strokes across the center and edges. Once dry I used the Cherry Blossoms stamps with embossing ink sprinkled black embossing powder and heat set. I adhered to the Silver Glitter paper from Celebrate (silver glitter is cut 4" x 5 1/4". I then adhered the entire panel to the base of card. Using a diecut I cut some silver glitter stars and adhered to card.

For this card I combined the Dahlia stamps with Cherry Blossoms Silver paper Succulents Wine Cardstock and Paris Flea Market Buttons. The base is the Plain Purple cardstock from Cherry Blossoms. I used a matching Oxide ink color as the base of card to stamp the Dahlia on the Wine Cardstock. I have to say the Oxide Inks very well on dark paper. I stamped the Dahlia leaf with Oxide Ink Peeled Paint which I trimmed. I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Cherry Blossoms stamp again using Oxide Ink on the Silver paper from Cherry Blossoms. I added the 2 leaves and Paris Flea Market Button. It's a simple card yet very rich in real life.
I hope you enjoyed the different ways to combine the Club Scrap Kits. Now head on over to Lisa's Blog to continue seeing awesome projects.
Your cards are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Tina. Great mash-up!
ReplyDeleteTina, your oxide background is delicious!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards!!
Gorgeous cards Tina. You guys are such enablers sharing all of these awesome projects with oxide inks! The succulents stamp is striking on that purple card stock!
ReplyDeleteI can't even pick a favorite. I love them all!! Thanks for feeding into my Oxide addiction.
ReplyDeleteAll of the cards are lovely, but I think my fave takeaway is adding a swath of acrylic metallic silver paint to the front of printed paper to create a "home" for the stamped sentiment. TFS!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards Tina-love the combinations you used!
ReplyDeleteI like that "little too much water" effect. My backgrounds look kind of moldy with the sprinkles they get. I need to get a little more bold with my attempts. Great work!
